What is paint correction?
Paint correction is machine polishing that removes a microscopic layer of clear coat to level out swirl marks, holograms and light scratches. The paint then reflects light cleanly again, with real gloss, depth and clarity.
Do I need single-stage or two-stage correction?
A single-stage gloss enhancement suits newer cars and paint in good condition, or anyone wanting a boost in gloss. Two-stage correction is for paint that's been neglected or shows visible swirls and defects. Not sure? Answer the 2 quick steps above and we'll advise.
Will paint correction remove every scratch?
It removes swirls and most light scratches. Deeper scratches that have gone through the clear coat can often be improved but not always fully removed. We'll always tell you what's realistic for your paint before we start.
How long does a ceramic coating last?
Our double-layer Gtechniq coating provides protection, gloss and a hydrophobic finish for up to 5 years. Expect consistent gloss, faster and safer washing and fewer new swirls, which also helps protect your car's resale value.
Is this the same as the dealer's coating?
No. Dealer add-ons are often rushed with minimal prep in uncontrolled conditions. We spend hours on proper preparation, including iron, tar and clay removal plus machine polishing, then apply and cure the coating in a controlled environment for a far better, longer-lasting result.
Will a ceramic coating stop stone chips?
Ceramic protects against chemicals and UV and makes washing effortless, but it doesn't absorb physical impacts. If stone chips worry you, we'll recommend STEK DYNOshield paint protection film on the high-impact areas and ceramic everywhere else.
How long do you need my car?
Usually two days for a coating, including an overnight cure. Expect around three hours for a safe wash and decontamination alone, then polishing, coating and a controlled cure, so you collect your car with a flawless finish.
